Fish, Food and Allied Workers (FFAW/CAW) is a social democratic union that represents approximately 20,000 working women and men throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. While most of the Union’s members are employed in the fishing industry, FFAW/CAW represents workers in a number of diverse sectors including steel and metal fabrication, window manufacturing, brewery, hotel and retail and the oil industry.

For more than 30 years, FFAW has helped shape the political, social, and economic life of Newfoundland and Labrador. In addition to collective bargaining and representing members in the workplace, FFAW/CAW is also concerned with broader social and economic justice issues. The largest private sector union in the province, FFAW is proudly affiliated with the Canadian AutoWorkers Union (CAW).
